Yesterday was an eye opener. It has been less than a week since I delivered the message, none of us is going to grow until we make ourselves ready. It appears that message has come home to roost with me.
In case anyone has gotten the idea that I am going to park my sales kit at the office door with a scribbled note, I would like to dispel that idea right now. I am in this for the long haul and one little set back is not going to change my mind.
bzm: A very special thanks for all the kind words. As I talked to the lady yesterday, I got the impression from her voice (or somewhere) that this was a no--for now. I sensed that she really wanted to go ahead but couldn't at this time. I will stay in touch with them and see what works out.

I'm sure that no one has the idea that you'd park your sales kit at the door from your experience of receiving a no for your NPO yesterday. You've already been in for the long haul (you are married to a Founding Member!) and you've clearly stated your whys for wishing to support others, including NPOs. I apologize if my post led you to believe that others would think this . . .
You're admirable in all your efforts, Tom. Thank you.
Eleanor spoke this evening of how long it took her to finally have an NPO say yes to her on the Blog Talk Radio show. It was a reminder to everyone, again, that working with NPOs will be a matter of "slow and easy wins the race". In addition to this is to have created your list of many NPOs that you have researched and would like to work with ready so that you can have many hooks in the water while waiting for your fish to choose their bait. This, and seeking other methods of creating leads to fill in the long gaps of waiting for the organizations to make decisions.
Matter of fact, everyone who is moving forward with NPOs is admirable.
Keep up your efforts, Tom. You are continue to inspire others, and you are leading by example.
